About us

Who We are

We live in a ‘time-poor’ society, and many of us are experiencing high levels of stress and feel overwhelmed by the pace and pressure of our busy lives. The effects of stress have a negative impact on our overall physical and mental well-being.

Our skin contains the greatest amount of beneficial hormones, therefore, touch through massage communicates a positive therapeutic message. It balances the endocrine and nervous systems, enlivens the vital energy points (marma points) and affects literally billions of nerve endings that connect to all parts of the body including the brain and vital organs. Toxins are dislodged from the bodily tissues and gently eliminated, leaving our entire system deeply balanced and nourished.

Using Ayurvedic oils in massage is a potent contributor in maintaining harmony & balance. Due to the extremely small size of the oil molecule, oils penetrate the skin easily and transport the healing properties of nature, directly to the cells in the body.

In Ayurvedic book Susrutasamhita, the quality of oil is mentioned as TwakPrasaadam(improves skin luster). In AshtangaHridayam book it is mentioned that oil massage avoids exhaustion, alleviates insomnia, should be done daily especially over head, ears and sole.

We know that among tridoshasVata is more predominant because it is the only dosa that has the ability to move; hence capable of vitiating the other two dosas Pitta and Kapha. Tailam(oil) is the best thing to control Vata because the qualities of oil like snigdha(slimy) and Guru(Heavy) are opposite to Vata qualities like Rooksha(rough) and Laghu(light). That is why in starting stages of PanchakarmaSnehapana(Internal oiling) and Abhyangam(Oil massage) are done. It shows the importance of oil in Ayurveda. Ayurvedic oils are getting these powers to alleviate diseases because of their conjugation with tremendous herbs.
